Our specialty services include advanced intelligent in-line inspection MFL services incorporating multiple high-definition technology-based tools, caliper surveys, GIS solutions, and various pipeline cleaning tools. As a result of our continued growth and commitment to research and development, we have the desire to expand our Operations and Engineering capabilities.

Position Summary

Collaborate with designers, and other engineers, both mechanical and electrical, in a team environment providing improved solutions and new designs for pipeline inspection tools. Responsibilities include the design, development, integration, testing, validation, and expansion of new product solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

The role of Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the following duties: Generate engineering documentation for mechanical systems, including component design requirements and specifications, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and models. Manage complex, multi-disciplinary Bills of Materials. Conduct design reviews and test plans/conformity assessments. Facilitate mechanical improvements to the existing Inline Inspection tool fleet. Develop new, cost effective, functional, durable ILI tool designs that meet technical requirements. Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) studies of new designs and existing components with Autodesk NASTRAN. Support operational mechanical tool design modifications for special projects. Manage and support the Mechanical Engineering department in the use of their CAD and PDM systems. Develop new, efficient workflows for the design, modeling, and support of an ILI tool fleet. Determine and set schedules to meet project deadlines.

40 hours/week (8:00 am to 5:00 pm). Full-time regular.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design.
  • 6 years’ experience as a Mechanical Engineer or Industrial Designer or Industrial Design Engineer.
  • Experience must include: ILI tool design; communicating with inside & outside project stakeholders; machining and fabrication processes; project management. Must be proficient with Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault.
