Our History
Enduro Pipeline Services, Inc., a company with a rich history dating back to 1988, has consistently led the way in technological advancements in the industry. Our services and sales cater to the unique pipeline needs of our Oil and Gas Industry clients. Enduro's comprehensive line of pipeline cleaning pigs, a testament to our commitment to internal integrity management, is a cornerstone of our offerings. The first tool developed by Enduro, the analog Geometry Inspection Tool, was a pioneering instrumented pig capable of detecting dents, buckles, pipe wall changes, welds, and valves. A modification was later added to the tool, enabling bends to be detected along with the geometry.
In 1998, the Enduro DdL™ Integrity Survey tool was developed by Enduro and replaced the standard analog inspection tool. The DdL™ incorporates geometry inspection, bend analysis, and map production into a single pass through digital memory. The digital storage ability also allowed the tool to be expanded into a multi-channel tool capable of logging radius point and diametrical point data, also allowing o'clock positioning of the anomalies being recorded. This first-of-a-kind geometry inspection tool placed the Enduro DdL™ Integrity Survey Tool at the forefront of the industry and became the industry standard. With advanced software, the DdL™ computer flash memory enabled a long line section to be measured with one pass since the graph paper scale to pipe length was no longer the determining factor; line lengths of 300 miles can now be achieved.
In 2005, Enduro introduced the Enduro DfL™ Magnetic Flux Leakage Survey tools, a groundbreaking development that has since become essential to daily pipeline operations and maintenance. Our design team, with over 50 years of combined experience developing pipeline inspection tools, is committed to continuous innovation. They regularly enhance these state-of-the-art tools with new features, ensuring our clients can always access the most advanced solutions.
In 2013, Enduro underwent a significant expansion, increasing the size of our facility to accommodate new IT offices, training facilities, and an expanded production area. This expansion was a testament to our commitment to quality and efficiency, as it allowed us to improve our quality control, reduce turnaround times, and introduce a new Enduro client software training program. Soon after this expansion in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Enduro opened an additional location in Calgary, AB, Canada, providing a fully-functioning service center with R&D for the region.
In 2022, we continued our tradition of innovation by developing the DdL DW2™ pig. This pig features advanced IMU navigation equipment that complements our PigProg software, enhancing our ability to provide comprehensive pipeline inspection solutions.
As the industry continues to evolve, so too do the associated regulations. In 2023, Enduro expanded its operations to include Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Services. Pipeline operators are increasingly becoming acquainted with the new requirements pertaining to CFR 192 and 195 compliance. With Enduro's advancements in GIS, we now offer services for class location, high-consequence area (HCA), and medium-consequence area (MCA) determination for natural gas pipelines. Furthermore, our expertise extends to liquid pipelines, where Enduro collaborates with pipeline operators to conduct HCA determinations, including overland spill analyses. These services are designed to ensure that our clients achieve compliance with PHMSA regulations regarding CFR 192 and 195 while remaining informed of any new additions and modifications outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations, particularly in relation to the Mega Rule.
