STS Pipeline Cleaning Pigs

Various sizes and configurations available

Enduro’s STS Cleaning Pigs (Smooth Transition Support) are rugged, steel-bodied pigs engineered for demanding pipeline cleaning and batching applications. With a specialty cup design and configurable cleaning elements, STS pigs provide reliable performance in pipelines that include wall changes, fittings, and other challenging features. Designed for consistent performance and long wear life, the Advantage Pig Series provides dependable cleaning power backed by Enduro’s dedicated Cleaning Pig Division.

Pipeline cleaning pigs are commonly used during pigging operations to remove debris, scale, wax, and other buildup that can accumulate inside a pipeline. Maintaining a clean pipeline improves flow conditions and helps ensure accurate results when running inline inspection (ILI) tools. STS cleaning pigs are designed for aggressive debris removal while maintaining strong sealing pressure against the pipe wall, allowing them to travel through fittings, wall thickness changes, and other pipeline features commonly encountered during cleaning operations.

Key Features

Smooth Transition Support Design: The STS cup design provides support similar to scraper cups, with a chamfered leading edge that helps the pig transition smoothly through wall changes and fittings, reducing impact and improving sealing.

Steel-Bodied Construction:  Built on a durable steel body, STS pigs are designed to withstand tough cleaning environments and long-distance runs.

Configurable Cleaning Elements: STS pigs can be fitted with cleaning components to match your pipeline conditions.

  • Wrap-around brushes
  • Spring-loaded brushes
  • Blades
  • Magnets

Line Tolerance: Engineered to traverse pipe reductions of up to 25%, helping operators maintain cleaning performance even in lines with changing diameters.

Tracking-Ready Design: STS pigs can be easily fitted with an Enduro transmitter, making pig tracking simple when pig location is critical to operations or safety.

FAQs

  • What’s the difference between STS Cleaning Pigs and Advantage Cleaning & Batching Pigs?

Both are steel-bodied pigs built for demanding applications. STS pigs use a Smooth Transition Support cup design with a chamfered leading edge that is especially effective in lines with wall changes and fittings. Advantage pigs are available in a range of cup and combination cup/disc designs ideal for batching and general cleaning.

  • Can I add brushes or magnets?

Yes. STS pigs can be configured with wrap-around or spring-loaded brushes, blades, and magnets to increase cleaning performance in tough applications.Yes — Advantage pigs are designed to accept modular cleaning elements for enhanced debris removal.

  • Are these pigs transmitter-compatible?

Absolutely. STS pigs are tracking-ready and can be fitted with Enduro transmitters so you can use your geophones, receivers, or NIPS units for pig location and confirmation.
